Wolde Mekuria Bori
Wolde is a Researcher, Land Resources Management at the IWMI Ethiopia Office. Wolde obtained a PhD in Forestry and Forest Ecology from the University of Göttingen, Germany. On completion of his PhD, he joined the IWMI Laos Office as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Agriculture and Climate Change. He has published 21 journal articles, one book chapter, one book, and nine conference and workshop papers. The focus of his research work includes: looking at ways of improving the productivity of rainfed agricultural systems through soil amendments, analyzing the impacts of improved land resources management on soil ecological properties, investigating various farmers coping strategies to climate change and variability, and identifying potential climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies in mixed crop-livestock farming systems.
