Carbon Foundation of East Africa

The Carbon Foundation of East Africa (CAFEA) is a not-for-profit foundation developed for the aim of providing pro bono climate change and carbon market information, training and a range of support activities to the general public, business and government offices. CAFEA has a broad mandate to increase public awareness about climate change and provide much wider understanding and information about these topics, including the promotion of East Africa’s participation in global dialogue on climate change and carbon markets. CAFEA’s strategy is to identify and disseminate practical knowledge about climate change action and to encourage the uptake of simple mitigation and adaptation activities as part of locally implemented strategies responding to climate change.
