The ALTER project in Uganda has had a busy summer as fieldwork got under way. On top of this CAFEA hosted three Masters students from the School of Geosciences at the University of Edinburgh.
The CAFEA team has recently returned from two important field trips that spanned the length of the country.
The First ALTER project meeting in Africa took place at the Southern Agricultural Research Institute, Hawassa, Ethiopia between 28th October and 1st November.
CAFEA has been meeting national wetland stakeholders with the aim of introducing the ALTER project and learning about current and past work within Uganda.
The ALTER team held the project kick-off meeting at the James Hutton Institute in Aberdeen 27th - 28th June.
